This Wednesday (July 19), we kicked off our Connections Dinner series with 20 Lean In Members at Feastly in Venice Beach. Chef Louis Pechan and the Hundred Miles Supper Club prepared a unique menu for us to taste delicious farm-to-table Californian cuisine.
We discussed our challenges with making meaningful connections and how technology has shaped, for better or worse, the way we connect. From recent graduates to entrepreneurs who are founding new ventures, everyone was eager to discuss how growth and success ties heavily with the strength of their personal and professional networks. The conversations were impactful and it was wonderful to relate with others and speak openly about our many different experiences!

As a recent college graduate, this event allowed me to meet people outside of the college bubble. I had many delightful conversations and got to hear more about different types of careers and career paths from successful women. Also, the dessert prepared by Chef, Louis Pechan and Hundred Miles, was to die for!
I think for me the big highlight was all the interesting and unexpected conversations we had! It's truly incredible that we had such a diverse group of women come together from all corners of the professional world and yet we all had so much in common. The favorite podcasts icebreaker was so much fun!
