#LEANSTRONG: LILA x The Phoenix Effect

LEANSTRONG is Lean In LA's new chapter event series for women who believe that sweating it out is always better together!

We kicked off our first #LEANSTRONG session on August 20 with PhoenixEffect. This fitness studio is owned by Beth Bishop. Many thanks to Beth and her team for a fun afternoon exercising and connecting with our LILA members! We’re also excited to support and bring a spotlight to this woman-owned business in LA.

Our inimitable trainer Kristin Vallacher led us through an intense circuit workout. She encouraged us to mentally tap into our wells of energy and motivation to finish an amazing sweat session.

After our workout, Body Energy Club (@bodyEnergyClubUSA) had deliciously refreshing juices and snacks ready to help us recover.

Thank you to LILA's event manager, Rachel Busic (@rachelbusic) for bringing us together on Sunday to burn serious calories. She's got more #LEANSTRONG sessions coming up so let her know you're joining our next workout by connecting with us through:

What members loved about this chapter event:

  • Working together with other women to achieve a common goal. Hanging out and meeting new friends

  • The positive energy

  • The workout and the instructor was really great at ensuring we were using correct form and encouraging.

  • Finishing it!

  • This was a really well planned fitness event. It was really beneficial to have the smoothie banana snacks available to get stabilized afterwards, especially considering most people had to be good enough to drive afterwards. I was especially psyched that LeanIn was able to work with a woman owned, woman lead business.
